Work Schedule

  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Peak hours typically 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM weekdays and 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM weekends

Position Overview

The Client is seeking an energetic and personable Door-to-Door Marketing Representative to expand our customer base through direct residential outreach. This role involves canvassing neighborhoods to promote our propane services, educate potential customers about our offerings, and generate qualified leads through face-to-face interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned residential territories
  • Engage homeowners in friendly, professional conversations about client propane services
  • Distribute marketing materials, brochures, and promotional items
  • Identify potential customers and assess their propane needs
  • Schedule appointments for sales representatives or service technicians
  • Maintain accurate records of contacts, leads, and customer interactions
  • Meet daily and weekly activity targets for doors knocked and leads generated
  • Represent UGI AmeriGas professionally and positively in the community
  • Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines while in the field
  • Report market feedback and competitive intelligence to management

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable approaching strangers and initiating conversations
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Ability to walk extensively and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when homeowners are available

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous door-to-door sales or marketing experience
  • Knowledge of propane industry or energy services
  • Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English) preferred in certain markets
  • Experience with CRM systems or lead tracking software

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk 4-6 miles per day
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to carry marketing materials and promotional items
  • Standing and walking for extended periods

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage plus performance incentives
  • Mileage reimbursement for travel between territories
